Do you have Anti-Freeze or WATER in your bike??????????

Been there and have learned the hard way.

The tempts are dropping to 0. If you took your bike out on a track then you may still have water in the radiator. If so, drain it or change it. If not, and the bike gets cold enough, you are looking at a cracked block.

I still have water wetter in my bike but it's sitting in the kitchen all nice and warm for the winter.

if you guys have engine ice it is good down to -26, water wetter is good down to 20 degrees, Silkolene is good down to -29 and most of your factory coolant is good down to -30 or so. So those of you using water wetter may already be in trouble.

Hi Steve. Yup this is Me (Matt Coleman). Glad I found this place. Racing around in a cage can get old after a while. I just recently picked up a little YZF600R and am considering road racing it this summer. I'd love to find a day where they allowed both cars and bikes on the track. I could pull the bike on a trailor behind the Corvette. I'd have to figure out a way of having all 6 slicks on the trailor with the bike. And prey to God that I don't trash the car. (My tow vehicle)

And to answer the earlier question: Yes. I've frozen / cracked blocks before. Lucky for me they were cheap rides. i'd hate to crack the block on an expensive bike. So it's probably best that everyone checks. You'd be surprised at how cold an attached garage can get. I have central heat in my garage but turn the vents off unless I'm working on something.

I also drain or fog the carbs, and put a trickle charge on the batteries. You wouldn't belive how long a trickle charge will extend your batteries life.

Oh, and if you have a boat with an outboard, make sure the motor is trimmed all the way down. They hold a bit of water in the lower units if not.

While we are on this topic. I LOVE: Spring, Summer and Fall.
