    WoW .

Anyway i was thinking about regearing my ninja 250r to 15/43 stock is 14/45. I'm just wondering if anyone else has regeared theres and if so whats the ups and downs. I'm doing this cause i'll be doing alot of highway travel. It doesn't look to bad on the gearingcommander, just seeing if anyone knows first hand. thanks.

Usually, most people will either go 1 down front or 2 up in the rear (both ways equal about the same). If you go down in the front and then down in the rear, its canceling out the change..... The front is a lot cheaper to change thou......

Not on that bike.I've done the +1 front on every bike I've owned. You will diff feel it in first (and coming out of corners if you ride hard).
Top end will not be as moved as a Chart might show. Most bikes just reach the same top speed at a diff rpm (Note: stock Bikes).

I Did it to a rebel 250 had to take that one back off was to much gear for the little thing to pull.I doubt the 250 ninja will have that problem,it much stronger/nicer to begin with.

Other than that it is cheap to try,Get the sprocket only first.
If you like it replace the chain and both sprockets as a set next time it needs it.

I know that I am resurrecting another old thread, but in the charts on that site, it appears that if you gear the bike down (i.e., gear it for top speed) that you can increase your top speed to go over 200mph... So from stock horsepower, would it even be possible to hit over 200mph if you have your bike geared down?
