All of the vendors would like to see that you are an active member of the forum before giving you a discount. Generally this means sticking around for at least 30 days, posting, joining in on rides, and just being active. They don't want you joining just for the discount.

Generally in the past our sponsors have spent some time on here, and in the case of Spartan Leathers and Superbikestore.net they are on here almost daily and can see everyone on the board. S&S Louisville has some active members here as well, but in general you need to identify yourself as an active member of this site to receive the discount, and might have to inform them of your username, and they might even go question a moderator about you to find out more information.

The process could change, as there has been some abuse of this at S&S, and membership cards, or some way to identify you might be coming, but for the time being, just go in, inform them of who you are. If you are in the Louisville store, go ask for Patrick (kneedragginlephrican) or Marty (BikerZX10) and introduce yourself to them. Both are super nice guys, and both active on the boards.

Very cool of you Derek. All the people in the Clarksville store are nice, and they can help you out. Larryg is usually around there too, so they are good people to say Hi to, and see the good prices on bikes...
