First I would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who was at the accident scene and helped me. I was very lucky to walk away with almost no injuries. I ended up going over to my inlaws house for a cook out after I got the bike home. I did end up going to the er. My left ankle which was the one caught under the bike got so bad I could not walk on it. They took x-rays and they all came back negative for breaks or fractures. Severe sprain. Got 50 loratabs and an aircast out of it. Dr. told me to take 2 weeks off work but I cant do that right now. I may take 1 day off but I have to go back on Tuesday to make some money. I drive for UPS so it will be hard on me to perform my job but I will deal with it. I dont really have another choice. Sorry I havent posted before now.
As for the bike......well its F@cked. I believe my forks are bent. Worst news about the situation is I bought the bike brand new July 25th 2008. Drove it off the lot with 1 mile on it. I did NOT get full coverage. so Im screwed.
I have a wife and 3 kids and now a wrecked bike possibly totaled. It will take me a long time to rebuild it due to cash flow issues. Im currently contemplating the idea of fixing it back up the way it was then selling it.
I really do appreciate everyones support today. This is coming from inside not just off the top of my head. You guys have never met me before but were willing to help me out. Im glad I had the opportunity to get on Louisville Sportbikes and meet some of you. Im sorry for what happened today. I know I caused some of you a minor headache slowing up the ride. I would like the entire group to know that I am sorry for my accident and screwing up todays ride. I wish I could have met more of you and finished out the ride in 1 piece.
Thanks for the kind words and support.
Eric
I have some pre ride pics which I will post up tomorrow. I really dont want to look at the bike again tonight and the camera is under the seat.
Good to hear you are OK and your injuries arent worse![]()

Sorry about the bike man, but no apologies are necessary. I could care less if I had to wait all day, as long as everybody got home safe and sound. Hopefully the damage is not as bad as you think and you can get it fixed up. Good luck with it
Otherwise, I had a great day and it was good seeing everybody. I hope this wasn't the real "End of Season Ride", cause I want to get out and ride with you all some more![]()

Glad everything is ok and you didnt have any serious injuries. As for slowing up the ride and all that. No worries man. I am sure everyone is just glad to see that you made it out with little injuries. Sucks about your ride man, just take it easy and get well!! There are always more rides and more bikes. Just glad you are ok.

"Anyone up for a road trip?"
I bought my R6 in June. Didnt have full until i droped it the 2nd time. Which there is no damage to fix but made me think how easly it could go bad.
As for being sorry about a headache and screwing up todays ride. Throw that out the window brah. You didn't ruin anyones dayAnyone say other wise, I'll sick Monteagle on em
. I didnt know you laid over till we all stoped ahead cause I was up front. BUT had I been in the Middle/Back, where ever you was. I'd rather lost the whole day + ride helping you pick your bike out of the crevest of the hill than to sit there and watch the EMS scrape you off the pavement! You didnt ruin anyones day man
