If you haven't logged onto your PS3 in a bit, a much talked about patch is available now. 2.41 is supposed to add the ability to check friends/messages etc in game as well as give rewards for games (similar to achievements on the 360) and several other enhancing features. Most games rewards are going to have to be replayed to unlock but I have heard of at least one that is going to be able to award you for past progress.

Very cool. I just downloaded 2.4 the other day, so I am sure next time I watch a Blue-Ray movie I will download the newest patch. I still haven't played a game on the PS3 yet...
