    Talking wheelie :) :)

ok so ive been experimenting with wheeling my bike, and i had a question for some peoples out there, (veterans)..... couple of my friends who are more into cruisers now told me i need to go down one on my front sproket so i can pop my clutch easier in 2nd gear and it will help pull me up.. my bike is stock and as of now when i do it it just launches forward. .. so what im asking is does anyone have a suggestion on this?.....

just turn the throttle all the way open and let go of the clutch as fast as you can

you don't have to regear the bike to make it wheelie. Just add more revs before you dump the clutch. Just remember that it is very easy to wreck when trying to learn to wheelie.

Rear brake will be your friend.

<---learned them in first gear. Considering my bike has way less power than yours, mine will absolutely not pop up in 2nd unless I'm cruising very slowly in 2nd, and I rev to about the limiter.

Stop using the clutch to pop wheelies. You will end up burning it up and paying to have your clutch replaced. Go ahead and get new sprockets, -1 in front and +2 in the rear. I put this combo on my 01 CBR600F4I and was able to do power wheelies by using only the throttle in 1st and 2nd gear.

you may need to be in some higher rpm's.

I don't like using the clutch to get the front wheel up. Too much shock on the drive train.
