Damn dude. That think looks destroyed. What's the extent of the damage past fairings and the rear seat?
Ride w/o fairings?
2011 Shadow Phantom
The electronics are tangled up. The front right fork is bent completely. The subframe cracked and twisted. The frame slider did it's job, The engine casings barely took a scratch.
They are both not ridable. The only way I'd repair mine if it somehow someone's insurance covers mine and I buy it back. I could probably get most of the stuff relatively cheap off 600rr.net

Lets just say that everyone was very fortunate yesterday.. Anyone that doesnt believe in guardian angels should be a believer now.. If I was Justin I would be in church right now...![]()
the amount of force that Unpredictable whacked into that truck i thought he was a gonner for sure...the truck's rim was bent and the tire blew out, luckily he didnt swerve into Ben..the left fork on the SV was broke in half along with the front wheel being torn apart in several spots. The bike is destroyed, when i got too it, gas & coolant was pouring out. As for the CBR600, it took out a huge post with a mailbox attached, should be able to part it out, make a track bike or rebuild it for the street.
I saw Justin crash outta the corner of my eye and continued to focus on my turn while getting whacked with big pieces of debris from the bike, i looked in my mirror and saw Ben go down behind me... not a good scene.
The sheriffs dept & emt guys did their job professionally and were very cool about the crash although the fire dept didnt clean up the spilled fluids on the road which i dont know why, also the neighbors were very hospitable and the husband & wife that lived in the house where the crash was let us hang out in the driveway with the wrecked bikes and let us use the restroom, phone and gave us drinks.. very nice folks. Btw, it was their mailbox that got taken out, so make sure the insurance takes care of it!!!![]()
Like Justin said, it was a great ride until the last 20 minutes of heading back.. it was nice to meet some new faces and learn some new roads, wish it ended a little better....
