Went for a ride out on State Hwy 636 South just past Waddy, KY. What a fantastic ride that was on Sunday. Very little traffic, comfortable temperature to ride in full gear too. Plenty of S-curves listed as 15mph and 20mph to have fun with. Really a great ride all said and done. We took the Waddy exit off of I64 and then set out for Waddy. You keep going past and then take a right onto 636 South. From there just head south to 248. On Sunday we kept going on through and onto Van Buren, but not much that way. We ending up going home on State Hwy 248 towards Taylorsville and then home to Shelbyville from there. Once I got home and I started looking that the Google map, I realized if we had taken a left on 248 and then a left on Pleasant Grove Ridge. Then follow until Mt. Eden Road and take a left again.. it would take us on a nice circle back up towards Waddy.

So I have mapped out our next trip out the same way but with the new return route. I am also planning to mount my HD cam that I use for Autocross racing to the bike to record the route. Should be an interesting video to post on YouTube... about 60 minutes worth. Wonder how big that will be ??

That's my "long" F-loop route. I like 636 even if the pavement is a bit sketchy in places.

I agree with the sketchy road comment... just have to keep an eye out for that and the roosters, wild turkeys, deer, dogs, and lord there are some wild animals running around out there !

I need to check out 636. I've been taking 395-44-127 to hit my favorite road 390.
