    So I guess since I'm still a one, I'm not very reputable yet.

    It's a good concept, I guess. If you are new to a board it can give you an idea of who is full of BS and who is on the up-and-up.

    My bike site tried it and things didn't exactly work out (to say the least, people went crazy with it in varying ways), but Kick says that his bike site has it and it works out fine.

    Actually the "1" is your Rep Power. Which means how many points you give somebody if you rep them. Good or bad. This number will increase as the amount of rep you have goes up. Meaning the more rep you have, the more weight you have when giving rep.

    The amount of actual points you have can't be seen by other folks. What will be seen as you gain more points is more green squares, and different little phrases will show up if you hover your mouse over the "greenies".
