Reputation:
For those that don't know, we have a "Reputation" system here. While it's not always an entirely accurate means of rating a members "character". It can at least (sometimes) give folks at least a general idea. While having a high number of reputation here will never grant you certain privileges. It is good for bragging rights. Just like negative rep is good for identifying possible trolls
This is how it all works ya'll. . .
Here's what a typical post looks like:
If you strongly agree, or disagree, with what somebody has posted. In the bottom left hand corner of the post, click on the. Unless you use the Soness template. In that case, you click on the
that's found it the same location. After you click this, you'll get a window where you can select if you agree or disagree with the post. You'll also have a box where you can leave a small message with it. Keep in mind that any reputation given is totally anonymous (unless you rep a staff member). Anybody you send rep to, bad or good, will not know who it came from unless you leave a name in the text box.
You can check to see if you have received any rep from folks by going into your USERCP. Just below where any subscribed posts would be will be a list of "Rep" you have received. Little green boxes are good, red is bad, and grey means the member that gave it is too new to have any effect. At the top of this area you can see how many total points you have. The more points you get, the more Rep Power you'll have. The number next to the green box under your avatar (when you make a post) is your "Rep Power". That is how many points you give somebody when you give them Rep. Below is how you gain more Rep Power. . .
Once a year you gain 1
For every 1000 posts, you gain 1
For every 100 points of positive rep received you gain 1
Lastly, the rep system here will never be used as a form of enforcement by any means. It is simply just another means of wasting time on the internet. Something we all could use during the long winter months
and here are some guidelines for using the calender ya'll:
1) Remember, it's not a personal calender. Whatever you post in it is to be seen by all.
2) Limit the calenders use to posting events like rides, concerts, member anniversaries (wedding or whatnot), or any other special event you'd like to announce. Just use your own best judgement if it's worthy. Just try and not gum up the thing with bogus events, it's not a joke room.
3) When adding a ride as an event, add a link to a thread containing that same ride. This way if folks are interested, they don't have to go looking for that ride in the forums to join in.
Here's an example of a ride event posted in the Calender: Click Here!
Be sure to post up if you have any questions![]()
