I've gotta be in the right mood to play a FPS online. I got jaded a bit from the days of SOCOM when they didn't separate the newbs from the pros. I mean, I'm actually not that bad and I usually do pretty good at FPS's. But I'd rather play with folks I know.

I don't like playing against the computer. Newbies in the mix is cool with me, 'cause we were all newbies at some point. Playing online, even with total strangers, is always better than playing with myself.

I think I mis-spoke on the newbs thing. What I meant was, I'm what you might call average to good in FPS's. I like to win as much as the next guy, but losing is all part of it, and that's cool too. Besides, it makes you a better player. What I have an issue with is when an average Joe like me gets tossed in the mix with a bunch of 14 year olds that have never seen the Sun leave the final score "Them - 25, You - 0" in about a minute and a half. That sucks the fun right out of it.

Nah, that's not bad. It's when they start talking smack in their pre-pubescent voices after they've won that really pisses me off.
