unfortunately, i only went through one rear q3 this year.

i guess everyone makes use of their time on two differently. out here in the country i have a fairly short loop i favor. traffic is next to non existent and i ride this patch most rides. so im typically pretty aware of its road conditions. i tend to ride the fast parts fast. not to say im any good, just that in this 40 mile loop im able to get some good work in, scratch my itch and be back to my other responsibilities.

i had big plans to get out n do some long exploratory trips. make a day of it kinda thing... they just didnt come to fruition. i had a few longer trips, and i do a couple variations on similar loops to my fav. i enjoy those getting lost rides, but for the most part my rides are quick and to the point.

im lucky to get a few of those sessions a week.

This was my first summer of being retired and I had hoped to do much more riding than I did. I covered 6800 miles, most of them not too far from home, as I managed only two trips to the mountains this year. Hope to do more in 2019.

Vacation Time from work was spent elsewhere this year. After a trip to Hawaii to visit No0ne, a trip out to California and 2 weeks in Orlando with the family for Disney parks....I was able to do 1 Forbus loop and 1 trackday for a total of about 400 miles.

I don't see many more miles next year either, I may have to pull myself away to do some riding or maybe do a couple commutes to work.

I put almost 4k miles on my r1 at the track this year and about 2k on my fz1. Didn't ride as much as I wanted but still felt great.
