    Motorcycle myth buster

Stolen from a Facebook group but I figured it would be fun on here as well.

    What’s the stupidest motorcycle myth/advice you’ve heard?

One of my favorites is " I had to put it down to save myself"

    I'm not slow just conservative.

    I don't ride the way they do, I don't need helmet/gear.

Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity

Everybody knows loud pipes save lives -- except for those times when a car pull out in front of them and had no choice but to lay 'er down.

This has been done before but I'll indulge...

Stay off the front brakes. They'll make you flip over the handle bars.

Helmets will break your neck in an accident, better off without it.

A "advanced' rider at Road America in Wisconsin said riding michelin power 3"s, I should run 26 lbs of air (cold) in the rear. NO MORE than that or I would wreck.
30 bs FR. & REAR for 2 days had a blast.
