    Oil change question!

Ive got a couple motorcycles I don't ride much, what is the rule of thumb for oil changes even when I'm not putting miles on the bikes? Ive maybe put 250-300 miles on one of my bikes since oil change a year ago... I don't mind changing it but also don't want to if its not necessary.

Don't know any specific "rules" about oil changes for bikes that don't see a lot of riding, but every six months would be about right in my estimation. I change mine every six months or 5000 miles whichever comes first and use a good quality full synthetic oil.

Same as john mark. The super dune actually calls for one ever 7500miles that sounds insane to me. I do every 5,000 just to be safe

i think a typical manufacturer recommendation is once a year or when milage comes due. most will say oil has a shelf life of 5 years if in original packaging.

I try to do my jeep every six months.. it usually only gets 500-1000 or less miles on it in that time
