    Winter Motorcycle Updates

Who's doing them and what are you doing. Maybe I'll steal an idea for an upgrade, or service idea. For the ones I haven't met, I have a 2013 CBR600RR.

I plan on going up one in the rear and down one in the front. I bought parts, but the Vortex Countershaft is crap, and didn't properly fit so I had to order a new one. So I'm waiting on that. I also bought the nifty speedohealer to keep everything correct.

I already did my rear shock, spring rated for my weight and gold valving. Already ready for the warm days so I can test out the difference. And if the money is right I'll try and have her tuned by commonwealth on the Dyno.

Sound off with those winter projects!

I may be going one down up front, with a new 520 full kit. I also need to get a integrated tail light so I have blinkers on the back side. Other than that, probably gonna need some new tires as i'm pushing about 2300 on some Q3's currently and they don't have but a couple hundred left before I start to feel uncomfortable on them.

This winter I plan on a valve inspection on the FZ1 and R6. I usually wouldn't do that but I want to be cautious. The FZ1 has about 55K on it and the R6 is hopefully gonna see some more track days in 2018. I will change plugs, engine ice and clean the air filters.

I'm pretty much "done" with the major stuff on my fz. I did the suspension, rear sets, lower handle bars, exhaust and ECU over last winter. I'll probably just detail it really good (already started) and throw on some new battleax's. I am really considering vinyl wrapping the bodywork over the winter though, because I've always wanted an obnoxiously orange motorcycle.

Anyone ever vinyl wrapped anything? I'm wondering if I would be able to do a decent job at it. I tend to get in a hurry and frustrated with tedious jobs lol.

@booger, the little things, spark plugs!! I knew I'd forget something. I'll add that to the list!! Thanks. And @c0al, I vinyl wrapped my rear hugger, I'll post a picture. It isn't perfect but I think it looks pretty decent. You have to look real close to find the faults, I think. It was a pain in the butt to do, it took me a few hours because I kept having to pull the wrap off. I got it off amazon. Doesn't look bad. Takes lots of heat and even more patience. @Oneg808, I'm not ballin like you but I will be at the track at least twice this year! I'm ready to pop my cherry, I'll be for sure relying on the guidance of the track day pros.

I'm hoping (dreaming?) to upgrade with a new bike. Whether I do or not, I will likely change out the brake fluid on the Street Triple, and lube the swingarm, shock and associated linkage.
