    Job opening

Duke Energy, in their infinite wisdom, has decided to open up ONE job at the power plant.

Knowing me won't help you a bit. I'm only a messenger.

You must have considerable heavy industrial experience or previous experience in the power industry or a large steam plant.

You'll find the job posting at www.duke-energy.com and it's at Gallagher station in New Albany.

Now for the shitty part...the plant is only slated to be open till the end of 2022 possibly sooner. It's a foot in the door knowing full good and well you'll be moving in a few years.

It's a 5 year training program. You'll start out at bottom pay for 9 months and progress after that to top pay. Starting is 12 to 16 bucks per hour. It sucks but top pay is good.

And it's rotating shift work. Currently we work a 5/2 schedule. 6am to 6 pm 5 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on 5 days off. And flip 6pm to 6am same schedule. It's tough but you get sorta used to it.

This job closes on sept. 12th. If you have any questions PM me or ask here. This is a good opportunity for someone who won't mind to move in about 5 years. PSI/Cinergy/Duke Energy has never had a layoff.
