To answer the question though the tuono has my vote. Such an awesome bike.

I have mixed emotions about the FZ-10 and the redesigned FZ-09. I saw a new FZ-09 in person at CC Powersports, and I do like it better than in pictures. I'm still getting that Alien movie vibe from it though.

I noticed this too, I thought maybe I was just crazy but they do actually look better in person than in photos. The cafe racer version of the 09 looks great and photos and even better in person! I saw an anniversary yellow one at deals gap and was shocked just how amazing that thing looked. People were gathered around it in the parking lot at the resort talking about it.

I love the XR900 (is that the correct model name??) and I love a nice classic bike, but hate the weight. I guess that one is the best of both worlds.

Lets just do a "Let retro ride your shit" party. I'm sure Red will let you ride the SuperDuke, I'll let you ride the R1 and i'm sure we can get a few more to let you ride some different style bikes. We can do it at my house and you can take off back the twisty road.

I'm simply not sure if either of them would make me content for several years of ownership. If I were to swap bikes every six months; both the z900 and fz-09 would be near the top of the list.

Why can't the base model Tuono be $2k cheaper?

Apes have poor resale value. Don't know why, other than so many people not knowing what they are...... anyway I slightly used Tuono can be had for a nice price
