Hey Dave, I didn't realize that was you. Thanks for the insight. I'm not looking forward to the recovery process at. Where you able to make a full recovery or do you still have limitations?

No limitations from the ankle, probably stronger than the other one. I've got full range of motion in the ankle. Screws are still in it (this was about 1990 when I broke it) and haven't caused any issues. I'm not sure how bad your break was but I basically broke the joint completely, my foot was pointed about 45 degrees left of normal and the bone end was just under the skin, so they had to reassemble the joint.

My rehab took a little longer as I pushed it early as I was teaching a class and was standing on it for long periods of time right after the cast came off. Just pace yourself on the rehab and all should be fine. They never sent me to a therapist for rehab back in those days, odds are if I had that resource available to give me a structured exercise program it would have went quicker.

Motorcycling is not, of itself, inherently dangerous. It is, however, extremely unforgiving of inattention, ignorance, incompetence, or stupidity

Glad to hear you made a full recovery, and stronger than ever. I agree...you can't rush the healing/rehab process. I've bounced back from two spine surgeries and a hip repair within the past 3yrs. Good physical therapy makes all the difference in the world. Luckily my unit has a full time physical therapist on staff. He's going to roll his eyes whenever he finds out I'm injured again.

Someone had to have captured this on a GoPro.
I wonder how we find that someone.
