Have you considered the KTM Super Duke? I hear the new 1290 is a beast but extremely easy to ride with new electronics package. If I didn't love my 2008 990 SDR so much I would have upgraded to the new hotness.

My fz1 has more hp than your last R1. Not sure exactly what more you want.
They are very capable..... I just want a different style factor.

The current V4 Tuonno is an amazing bike, but the older V2 is plenty quick, and arguably more reliable.
They aren't common, and are getting old ( 2009 was last year of production) but they are quite affordable.

    2007.5 and newer is best

The more expensive models came with Ohlins and Brembo , but even the base model's set up is above average.

Parts are affordable and easily attainable.

The V4 is a smaller more compact bike, but the V 2 is tall, so even with the high mounted pegs, your legs shouldn't be too cramped, and yet you won't be dragging the pegs around corners.

i almost bought a V4 tuono over the CB. only issue is they are like the BMWs and require a dealer to turn off dumb stuff like change oil lights. the closest dealer to Louisville that can service the new ARPC system is 3 hours away.

11 vehicles is enough for me. I don't need another.

You know this is the absolute worst time of year to sell a bike right? I'll give you 2500 for it.

Actually you can turn the service light ( change oil) off, and a few other things, but if it requires any service that requires computer access, then the lack of a dealer nearby sux
