I test rode two Buell Firebolts and loved them. Except for the vibration. My hands and feet were numb within a mile. I'd still like one to putt around on but love my inline motor. The Firebolt felt a bit more flickable than my R6. If they'd standardized on Rotax from the start they might be a bigger brand at this point.

I hear all the time about the vibration and the heat, etc. Etc.... It does vibrate, but just at idle. I have done several 300 to 400 mile days with no issues.

The rotax is a good engine, but I like the ease of an air cooled twin! Easy to work on form sure and tuned correctly, they don't run as hot as some water cooled bikes I have ridden.
Yep... That guy with the American bike!

They'll never be as popular as the big four Japanese brands but that's not really their goal, so one day I should be able to afford one. Here's a little walk around I did of it.

I've been keeping a close eye on the Motus. I wish them success. Mostly because I really want one of their bikes!

If we had started making motorbikes after WWII, then we might have something to compete with the big 4.......... We just decided to keep making the same HD since then........

These guys apparently tried to build a completely American made, but found it far too difficult. They get their motors from China now.

the "star of david" rear wheel looks ghey. $40k is a little steep for a bike though
