Last Thursday I received my OBDII bluetooth dongle. I'm using it on a 2011 F150.
I picked it up for about $25 shipped from lxdstation on ebay.
This thing is awesome. It pairs right up to you Android phone, and doesn't interfere with Sync for Ford (you can use both at once).
Thanks to a $5 app called Torque (http://market.android.com/details?id...=search_result), you can see tons of info about the truck. (I think there's a free version too)
- Check / clear error codes.
- Show fuel economy
- View engine telemetry (RPMs, speed, throttle %, acceleration g forces, coolant temp, boost pressure, intake temp, intake pressure, trans temp, voltage).
- Track your 1/4 mile and 1/8 mile times.
- Track 0-60mph / 0-100kph times
- Track horsepower and torque output.
- Check fuel level
- trip odometer
Its a really cool little app, it lets you set up 7 different 'dashboards' that you can drag and drop different guages and graphs onto. You can also set a custom background.
To get HP and Torque reading, you have to have the accurate weight of your vehicle. Then you put in which model vehicle and trim level with engine size.
Here is a video from a guy on the F150 forum I'm a member of.
