Led just doesn't have the natural colors. They're colorful, but it's not natural coloring. I'm just not a fan of them. Besides, their just used as side lighting and back lighting. It's still LCD no matter what. All I own are plasmas and I wouldn't buy anything else

I agree on that one. But... most peeps want an eye popping screen that's unnatural. To many, plasma is too bland.

Plasma tv production is unsustainable because of the use of Helium gas in their manufacture...that's why they're going the LED route.

i really like the picture on plasma, but the deal breaker for me was the glare. next time your looking at tv's focus on the reflection in the store and compare the plasma to the lcd. it is much worse on the plasma. i have a fairly bright living room so i went with a led lcd.

yeah, you can get an LCD with a lot of glare as well. Look at a lot of the new laptop monitors. Matte screen FTW. I do like the look of plasma, but the black levels are kinda off the mark and the shorter life span and risk of burn in kind of turn me off of them.

All of the technology's have thier pro's and con's. I'm not in the market yet, but if I had to buy one right now I'd either go BIG DLP or around a 60" LCD. and I don't give 2 shits whether it's LED or CFL backlight.

I am in the market for a new subwoofer

Burn? That's what pixel shifting and white scrolling is for Lucus. Speaking of dlp. They have a 80in at HHGregg... Terrible picture!

The last TV I owned was a 13 inch black and white with rabbit ears.
