    Pricing a bike

I am having issues pricing my toy. The reason is because the miles are high and its 12 years old. Its a 2000 929 with 42k miles. I put a repsol kit/ power commander/ +2 -1 on the spockets. Normal wear and tear on it. I priced it at 3k but I'm thinking that may be a bit high. I also know this is a bad time to be selling bikes...any ideas on pricing?

You're right on, because bikes are tough to price...... I always say that if their running and in good shape, you can pretty much always get $2k out of one. Looks like you have taken good care of it and its still a great looking bike, so starting at $3k is a right on the money Im thinking....... and everyone is getting the itch now, so you may be able to let it go pretty easily......... Im pretty much in the same boat with my bike. To "me" I wouldnt let mine go for less than $35 - $4k, but thats why Im not selling it......

BTW....KBB in excellent is $3300, so the right person could take it off your hands for 3............. I fixed up the pic for ya too.

I'd probably list it for 3k and be willing to negotiate a little. It might go pretty quick considering the winter we're having.

FYI that was Munky's favorite bike, and the first bike he ever destroyed at the track. The swingarm rips a nice hole in the back of the engine when they go flipping thru the grass.

    I was gonna say 2800 to 3000.

Aftermarket parts don't really do much for raising the price of the bike. If you want to get blood from a turnip....if you have any stock parts, put those back on the bike and sell your aftermarket stuff on ebay.

    ^+1

if any prospective buyers try to beat you because of mileage you can always reference Boogers CBR that has 72,000 miles and is still running strong.

I'll give you $2,000 on account of the high mileage
