In response to the bike nights idea. Currently I am employed at the Motorcycle Superstore Retail Outlet on Industry Rd. off of 4th street near campus. We are going through a management transition and the new manager that will be coming in is totally open to the idea. Frequency 24.7 was actually in the shop a couple days ago talking to him about some things. I myself am not certain about what type of work on our end would need to go into this idea but we can work some things out.

As for the novice rides idea. The main reason I havent been on any group rides (aside from working all the time) is that I am slightly intimidated by the idea of riding with you guys. But riding alone, you really dont learn that much, at least not as much as you would riding with experienced riders. I feel pretty comfortable and can see how much progression Ive made in my first year, (the positioning of the pegs on the ninja-250 gives them a real tendency to get dragged.) So I personally would be greatly interested in some slow paced, yet spirited rides on some nice twisties for those of us who are still pretty wet behind the ears.
She'll make point five past lightspeed. She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid. I've made a lot of special modifications myself.

Thats great to hear about the bike night. I.ll be getting into contact later to discuss it.

As far as the novice rides go, I know that cowasockee has led several novice rides, but I would actually like to put together a workshop where any new riders can show up and bring their bike and a more experienced rider can go over the bike with them so that they can be more famliar of the workngs and mantaining their bike.

This would be awesome! I am pretty much a bike NOOBIE and that is ok because I am a computer nerd not a bike mechanic LOL. I greatly value the knowledge of the guys in our group and getting together to hang out and go over our bikes could also improve safety right? (Mine has some weird rattle or something...) Also I would love to have some beginner rides where we can maybe go over the same set of twisties repeatedly and stagger with an experienced rider who can watch what we do and help us improve. I know usually that is what a track day is for but how awesome would it be to get a little of that up front when we have such good resources in our LSB riding brothers :-)

Andy and Kilener........ This is something we stress on every ride we go on. Ride your own pace. Dont be intimidated to come out. The rides that people dont want to wait for others on, are ones you wont even see posted up. Any ride Ive ever been on (this goes for 90% of the members too), Ive never minded waiting for anyone or helping out someone learn their bike just a little better that day.

1st you have to show up though........
