My visor does fog up too. I tried rainX but seems like you have to apply more on every ride. Any other suggestions?
I've been looking for rain gear but being freakishly huge it's hard to find anything that fits

The rain gear i use is actually some columbia backpacking rain pants. but rain gear is common fair for hunting fishing construction etc. there are a lot of options out there in various price ranges. That being said i have been down in my columbias, I went sliding across the pavement and only ended up with a hole my pinky wont fit in. Im not claiming they are indestructable, but i know the cheap walmart suits would shred on impact. Getting bibs is a huge improvement over pants, you never get that air gap or the water seeping into your crack. tractor supply, any sporting goods store, or camping store should have a some kind of option.

Iv used rainex, rainex antifog, dishsoap, and a few other homebrewed solutons but nothing very succesfull yet. i know in paintball that had plastic sheets that would static cling to the lense and prevent fogging. I do not know if they make a comparable tear off for motorcycles but racing is such a big market i would have to assume its out there. the better option in paintball was a thermal lens, which is like an insulated window, two layers with air inbetween. My solution for paintbal and maybe for the bike was to mount a small cpu fan run off a 9v battery to circulate air past it. opening my vents has no effect on the fog, and when its really cold the fog freezes into a thin layer of ice.
My recommendations when it get below 40 out is the take the cage to work
On the fogging you gotta learn to exhale slow, down, and out.(I've even used a straw,It didn't help much) Keeping your vents or visor open a bit helps..It's already cold and seeing is more important.
Oh if you happen to find your self behind a salt truck just pull over and give it room,Passing one is not fun, on the plus side if you do you will never complain about getting caught in the rain again...![]()

I have an HJC helmet w the pin-lock sheild. It is a secondary sheild that goes on the inside of your helmet sheild. It is press fitted with a rubber seal creating an air space between the two. Ive ridden in 24 drgree weather with no fogging even at stoplights.
A lot of good information here. I have a heated vest from:

I know they make lots of other clothing. Works well, and can even run off batteries in your pocket instead of the bike. I have two batteries 2-3 hours each. I have used them at football games. Wore the vest on the bike when going to the Gap in 2009, 30ish in the morning, and warming to 60s in the afternoon, helped me stay warm in the mornings and riding over the Skyway.
I know you don't have the coin for it, but this is a good brand to keep an eye on.
