Starting on/around January 1, 2012, "The Pack" will be changing a little, giving members an additional perk (Custom User Titles). There are also some small modifications of the rules for the Pack, please review below.

The Pack is a "group" on Louisville Sportbikes for "known" members. These are members who have attended functions, who actively post, and who have stuck around for a while and become "friends" with other members. We use this group as a way of having a shared contact list among members, and having a private forum for members to have a discussion between other known members. This is NOT an elite club, but it is private, since our phone numbers, real names, and emergency contact information is shared among those people.

To become/stay a member:

1. Be a known member. There isn't a selected length of time, but you must be known to other members of the pack, and have attended events, posted on the site, and be active. The moderators of the site approve the people, so if you request access, you need to explain why you want in, who can vouch for you, etc. If you have to give a huge list of explanation, well, you probably shouldn't be requesting access. Showing up to one event and posting for a month, probably won't get you access, but if you have been coming to meet and greet, showing up for rides, been posting a bit, and starting to become friends, well, you probably will get access. Don't take it personally if you don't gain access, just wait a while longer and request again, show up to events, post more, become known. Just because you met a mod or member in person, doesn't mean you are getting in, we want to know you first, since some of our information is shared.

2. You must have your contact information listed in your profile. This includes at a minimum, you FULL real name, first and last, a contact number, and an emergency contact number. The primary reason to this is in case of emergency (ICE). We want to know your full name, have your contact number, and have a number for someone we can call. Face it, we ride, and it can be dangerous, we want to know we can help you. You can update/add your contact information by following these instructions:

http://www.louisville-sportbikes.com...CE-Information

You can maintain this information even if you are NOT a member of the Pack. The only people with access to that information are the administrators of the website. So if on a ride, you happen to crash and we need your ICE number, an admin/moderator can obtain it and pass it on. This is something to consider.

3. You must maintain your contact information. If you delete your information from your profile, you will be removed from the pack. If you input erroneous information in your profile, you will be removed. If your information is out of date when someone tries to contact you, you can be removed (normally we will ask you to update). We do remind people about every 6 months to update their information, we just ask that you update and enter it correctly. If it's an ongoing problem with information being incorrect, you will most likely be removed. Since everyone else is sharing their information, we expect you to keep yours shared as well.

4. You will NOT share information, sell information, SPAM the members, use it for marketing purposes, attempting "hooking up" with members significant others, etc. This means the information listed in the contact list/Pack Forum is for your personal contact or in case of emergency, it's not for any other use, and if you use it as such, you will most likely be banned from the site in full, not just removed from the Pack. We value our personal/private information. Please report misuse of information to an admin/moderator. This entire rule has come about because of prior misuse, and going forward this will be enforced. If something has been reported, temporary removal from the pack will happen and once the member has been approached and discussed, if it is found to be true, banning from the site will happen.

Perks of being in the pack:

1. Access to the contact list of other pack members. You can access on the top navigation bar a list of all other Pack members, and their information. This information is updated by them.
2. Access to the Pack forum. Generally this might include directions for parties, detailed routes, free items to known members, etc. Pack Eyes Only.
3. New for 2012, Custom User Titles (The tagline below your username). Being a member you will be allowed to pick your own User Titles. There are some guidelines for user titles. They can not contain profanity, or any use of terms that associate with moderator, administrator/admin, president, owner, etc. If you abuse this, you might be asked to change it, or you will lose the ability to have custom user titles, or depending on the infraction, might be removed the pack or banned from the site.

Being a member of the Pack is a privileged and is not required. It is your choice to request it, and your choice to stay in, or be removed. It's simply a way for known/long term members to share their contact information and receive some perks.

To join the pack:

Check the criteria above to make sure your ICE is complete and request access via your User CP/Settings page. On the left hand side, select Permission Groups, click on Join and choose "The Pack". List anything that might help make your case, who you know, etc. We will review your ICE, and if complete and you are known, you will be added to the group, if not, it will be declined.
