    Ed Bargy Race School?????

I am thinking of attending the Ed Bargy Race School on April 14th at Jennings, and thought well hell let me see if any of my fellow enthusiasts would like to attend with me prior to reserving my spot, if we have 6 people that would like to attend at the same time there is a discount involved from the school. The day costs 375.00 I believe is what the website said and a 50 dollar discount if we have 6 that would like to attend the same day. If we do will need to call in our pre registration rather than doing it online. So, with all this being said who thinks they might wanna go hit this up on the 14th of April? Need solid yes or no s folks, for I will be reserving my spot at the first of the year.

Thought i would add the link to the school website so you guys could go look at the info......

The price is good, but Jennings? I dont know, I think Im holding out for Corner Speed School at VIR. Its $475 though, and the discounted Bargy at 325 is sounding a lot more affordable! Tough call.

Ive thought about hitting one for years, but honestly, I just dont think I need it cause Im as fast as Ill ever be. If I were going to try and get into racing or something, Id be all over it. I know how to go faster, but my brain wont let me. So Ill just stick with my slow ass putting around the track.

I would think a weekend at Barber would be as beneficial for a rider like you or me and youd get a ton more track time, instead of sitting in a classroom. Now a newb coming into the sport or even a rider of a couple years, Im sure it would be a huge benefit.

Just did some more research, and although I like VIR way better, I like the price of Bargy. Im in. We need 4 more for the discount.

You get as much track time at a Bargy school as you do any track day. You will be beat by the end of the day.

And I would personally hold out for a talledega GP track date. It's a great track, a hell of a lot closer, and a bit easier to dial in so that you can focus on learning those skills

Hmm... interested. I haven't spent enough time reading around, but I hear schools teach different things. Bargy, DiSalvo, Keith Code, and as mentioned above, Corner Speed. Any opinions on Bargy? I'm no racer, but I would really like to better understand how the bike works underneath me and what I can do on it to make us "click" better.

Jennings is glass smooth. It's motorcycle only so no downdraft ripples. It's actually a fun track. Flat as a pancake. I can't compare to TGP since I haven't been there.

Sam - what are you talking about! If I believe I can genuinely learn from someone better who can actually help me understand why something should be done a certain way, I'll try to apply it. Just telling me to do something is not going to cut it

You'd have fun at a race school.

Little Tally is fun as hell. Got my first podium and my first win there, so it has to be easy to learn!

I think Bargy would probably be the cheapest, and the plus side is you can get your WERA license from him too.
