    New Den for the ol Girl / Maintenance Work

    My neighbor is letting me park the R1 in her garage this winter and I have a code! Never had a garage to work on the bitch during the winter so this will be too cool..... I guess the Cycle Shell will have to be folded up.....

    Now I can really do some cleaning a maintenance that Ive been putting off for awhile.

    Heres what Im planning:

    * Battery Tender - Done
    * Strip all the plastics off and clean her down - Done
    * Replace the stator gasket - tiny seepage I found
    * Rewire my turns the right way after 5 years of them not being the way I want
    * Change the oil

    * Clean Air Filter - Done
    * Flush and Fill
    * Flush Brake Fluid
    * Install Stainless Lines
    * Change Spark Plugs - Done
    * Check Brakes - Done
    * Need cool Poser Carbon Bits Stat

    What some things you guys suggest doing over the winter? Just basic stuff, to keep it running good.

    Check on the tender. Been using one for the last few years and its so much cheaper than buying a $75 battery every couple years.

    Carbon bits, might have to dress up like Doc and steel those from railing all while on video..... I guess Id have to swap the front the 08 but thats fine with me.......

    Ive asked about the fork oil and seals and Ive been told that if their not leaking, dont mess with them..... What do you guys think?

    not fork oil seals... fork oil- Fork oil does a lot of work and thus gets burnt being pushed through those tiny holes.
