We have around 12 people that have requested access to the Pack, but almost all of them haven't updated their profile information yet.
First, The Pack, isn't some secret special group on the site, it is simply an area for "known" members to post things, like addresses to parties, that shouldn't be on the open forum, especially since most of us are local people. The members of The Pack also have access to the "Contact List". This shows up in the main toolbar on top of the page when you are approved.
1. Before you will even be considered for this group, you MUST have your contact information in your profile. This means you need to have your real name, phone number, and an ICE contact in your profile. Here is how you do that:

2. Because this contains all of the known members contact information and the ability to see other members contact information on their profile, you won't be admitted unless you are known yourself. This means that just meeting one of the mods or other members isn't enough to get it approved. You need to be known and stick around for a while.
3. No time frame, but if you have been on the site for a few months and attended an event and a couple of riders, don't expect to get accepted. I for one don't want my contact information out there for just anyone coming to a ride to see.
So, if you are a long time member, make sure your contact information is in your profile as listed above. If you are somewhat new, please still put your emergency contact information in your profile, and then hang out for a while before submitting your request.
Personally, I was on the site for almost 9 months before I was "in". I got to know the people here, showed up to lots of rides, and generally hung out. It's not about some special place to post, it's about the contact information.
So for those getting a denied request, it's either because of your contact information not being in your profile, or the fact we don't know you.
