I'm still a long way out from attending a track day with you all, but I'd like to know technical modifications need to be done to the bike (e.g., safety wired drain plug, oil containment lower fairing, etc). I apologize if this already posted elsewhere.

You can find that info on Midwest Trackday's website, or pretty much any other trackday org's site under "requirements." It varies by org and class, but the major stuff is pretty standard (taping off glass/lights/removing mirrors/etc)

If you have a bike and gear you're ready for a trackday. If you ride sportbikes it's the best thing you can do for yourself. If you have any questions ask. When I started riding there were so many people that were willing to help me prep my bike, get to the track, make it to the hospital afterwards. They were great. booger came over and helped me prep my bike, Jimmie let squat In his set up (still lets me). Someone trailered my bike for me. If there is anything you need please ask.

Man, you guys are great. I certainly appreciate good people. You're right about being ready for a track day. I only said that because I'm still recovering from a recent hip surgery. It's a 4-6 month recovery so I'm probably looking at next season before I can attend a track day. I still need to tune the bike and buy leathers anyway. I just bought a rear stand and compressor so I'm already on my way. Thanks for friendly advice my friend.
