    Amsoil and Wix filter

Just purchased 20w50 Amsoil and a Wix oil filter for my Gixxer... Its probably overkill.. But hey!! Im still paying on this bike and want it to last.. Also I am hoping that it will help the bike Run a little cooler.. Anyone run Amsoil?? or Wix oil filter on their bike?? What your experience with it??

I know when I was growing up in my dads garage I remember him tearing apart a bunch of different oil filters to see which one looked like it offer an edge up on engine protection.. and the Wix won the battle.. by far.. So thats why I decided to go for the Wix.. that and Amsoil Recommends Wix filters with their oil.. Its harder to find a wix for your bike but I think its worth the trouble..

Also if anyone would like to try this combo.. bumper to bumper Auto parts has the Amsoil for at least a buck cheaper than it is online per quart.. and the wix filters they can have within an hour anywhere in the louisville area if they dont have it in stock at the store..

I spent $45 on a Premium oil change for my bike... that aint bad and I know I can trust Amsoil and Wix..

I just changed mine with Amsoil too. I have no allegiance to a particular oil, I usually get whatever is cheap (I change it regularly). I have yet to see what it runs or shifts like.

I use duraH20. It lubricates well and never needs changing.

on a serious note....i always use K&N filters mainly for the nut so u can get it off easier. i always run repsol but i ran amsoil once for a gap trip did over 700 miles in 2 days and never had a slip and i think the bike did run a few degrees cooler.

Yes its water cooled.. but it gets hotter than i would like so I am trying to see if this will help it stay cooler.. otherwise i would stick to 10w40

All I have ever used is KnN filters unless i was using the oem filter.. K&N is overrated.. Wix is a equal or better filter..
