They are a bolt that goes all the way through the axle and ties the two together.

I wouldn't waste the money if it was me. They are a gimmick. There is no way that portion of your bike will ever touch the ground in the event of a lowside or any kind of crash for that matter.

That being said, if you still want them I can get them.

So they wont even help with the brakes or anything? Ive always looked at them and wanted some of the motivations, but not if they dont work, or even help.....

No, they don't protect anything. Look at the angle of the axle in relation to the front tire and the frame, etc.. When the bike is laying on it's side, the brakes and axle are no where near touching pavement. The engine cases, clipons, etc.. take all the damage. The only way that axle slider would work is if you some how was to "rail grind" skate board style a curb. Highly unlikely. Every time I've crashed a bike on the track, I've not even scratched my forks, brakes, or anything those sliders would protect. I've smashed the whole front of my bike, bent the forks, bent the front wheel, bent rotors, ground engine cases, bent triple clamps, etc.. but not one scratch on those parts. I've never seen anyone crash a bike and scratch their calipers or lower forks either.

I have seen the rear spools on the bike do some grinding and possibly save a swingarm scratch or two. I've also seen them rip the bung right off the swingarm
