    "Bilt" Helmets???

    "BILT" Helmets $99.99-$129.99

Anyone used these helmets. The ones I looked at were fresh in at Cyclegear. I tried one on and it was super comfortable.. but I am afraid that once the cheekpads get broke in that it will be to loose (yes like your ol lady). But anyway these helmets are supposedly made by "ICON." Any feedback??

Yeah.. thats what I was thinking.. But larger more expensive brands do make helmets for off name brands sometimes.. so figured it was a possibility. I know its hard to find a decent ICON helmet for under 300... I have an upper level Icon helmet now.. but it is getting into its age of retirement.. not to mention scratches nicks and a few waist high drops... which supposedly makes them no good anyway.. I want a Shoei!!

    There... Fixed it for you!!!

I've tried on a few icons... And they had a protrusion that put pressure on the base of my skull... Not comfortable at all!!! I believe that I read that icon helmets were made by another company anyways??? I know Joe rocket are made by hjc...

I've had great luck w/ my shoei rf1000 & x11... But now I'm loving my Bell Star!!! Have a new one on the way also!!

I must be the only person that likes my Icon. It starts to suck after about 4 hours, but what helmet doesn't.

Arai... Honestly. My head is an Arai head, and I can and have worn it all day riding, and don't even notice it's there... worth the money IMO... But only if it fits correctly.

You get what you pay for. I have owned 4 Arai's and 1 Shoei. I won't even say what I had before those. Try on several helmets and most important , have your head measured for proper fit.

A helmet shouldn't hurt after wearing it for hours.

I loved my ICON but didn't have it long enough to fully break it in before it got stolen. There's a lot of us that don't have an Arai budget so the biggest thing is making sure it's Snell approved. I've got a couple of KBC's that I can't complain about for the money and HJC CL-15's offer some pretty good bang for the buck as well as Sparx. Check newenough.com for clearance sales too, you can usually score a good lid dirt cheap.
