Pick something to work on this year

So as the title says....pick something to work on this year in your riding. I have the tendency to look down. So I am going to make a real effort to always keep my head and eyes up. That is my riding season resolution.

Do you release your brakes smoothly? Are you smooth picking up your throttle?

We all have something to work on. So pick ONE little thing and really focus on it. You'll get better.

We can't ride right now but we can talk about it.

I'm going to try to look through the turn more. I never quite got the hang of that so I've always ridden around looking straight down in front of the bike instead of way down the track like I should. The few times I've forced myself to look way ahead I noticed that I got on the gas way earlier. It's just hard to break old bad habits.

That involves a multitude of skills.

Work on all of them of course but pick one to really emphasize. Tell yourself evertime you get on the bike "I will be smooth. I will be smooth. I will be smooth". Of course you better understand what throttle control entails.

Going to work on getting my head out so it's like I'm looking around where the mirror would be and my body position.

Crouching more... I'm always pretty upright, which mean my head can't be in the right spot, which means I can't really hang off. It's a bad combination that led to dragging peg and foot through Dead Bear. It freaked me out a bit...

I'm hoping to regain some lean angle though body positioning.

    Not good:
