How to post: Pic's and Url's

Posting pic's and links to websites is super easy here. First, we'll start with links. . .

First, for a simple link, when your ready to insert the link into your post. You'll need to click the icon on top of the "reply box". Simply type your link (or paste it) into the window that appears and click "OK".

Now if you really want to get fancy. Before you click the icon. Type in some text that you would rather be visible for the link, rather than the link itself. Kind of like "Check out this site". Once you have your text, select the icon to underline it, then highlight it with your mouse. Once highlighted, click the icon on top of the "reply box". Simply type your link (or paste it) into the window that appears and click "OK". Below is an example of both a standard link, and the "cleaner" way of doing it.

The New Hotness! - Cleaner way

Next, there are two different ways to post images here. First is to have a link to an existing image on the web. For this, simply click the icon, insert the link to the image and select "OK". A great local site with free image hosting is LouAD.com, and you don't even have to register. CLICK HERE to use their uploader.

If you want to upload an image from your machine directly to the forums, you'll have to either be starting a new thread, or select "Advanced Reply" when posting in an existing thread. Either way, once finished typing your message. Scroll down to the "Attach Files" box, and click the "Manage Attachments" button. A new window should open with the option to "Browse" your computer for the file. Find your file, and then be sure to click the "Upload" button. Once the name of your file appears in that new window, you can select "Close This Window". Now you should be back on the screen where you typed your post. Look in the tool-bar that has all the icons like :, , and . Right above these you should see the Attachments icon . By clicking it, you should get a small menu with a list of the files you uploaded. Select which one you want and you should then see a code like this:
    Code:
    ATTACH]2[/ATTACH]
Here's an example of my upload:

If you want, you can choose to "Preview Post" and make sure it worked. Other than that, you're done!

You should now have my email addy since I replyed to yours. Also, if I use it, it'll be "altered" so it won't look exactly the same. I just need a starting point image.
