    Old thread I see,
But wow I must really suck. I was hoping for some good info, as I have always had trouble the first trip out on new tires being real greesy. In fact I tossed my CBR down the highway leaving my subdivision on fresh tires back in Jan and I was trying to take it easy! Left me spooked for over a month.

I wish I could say I don't know what your talking about. Same thing happened to me last year one week before my first trackday of the year. Put them on and headed into work that night. I was going into a small S curve in my subdivision. The new pilots dipped in very quickly, I gave it a little too much gas to pick it back up. And WHAM right on my ass. Now im scared to death of new tires. There I said it. I feel better. I suck too. Now I just take it easy and wrap my asshole around the seat for the first couple of rides.

Yeah I pretty much do the same thing, I hate new tires. Just don't try to drag a knee and you'll be good
