They're great till the shield mechanism cover breaks.

It is a pain, but Ive got it down now. Its just crazy cause my OGKs shield can be switched in 4 seconds........ For such a good lid, youd think they would fix the only problem they have.

Has anyone had to get a warranty repair/replacement on an Arai helmet? Will they cover their quick change mechanism if it breaks? I still need to register my helmet with them.

Yes. Take your Arai to a authorized dealer or send it to Arai yourself. 5-7 year warranty depends on who you talk to.

There is definately a knack to changing the shield on an Arai. I can change one in about 20 seconds.

its easy, and if you break the piece, its like 5 or 10 dollars to replace.

I've broken them a few times and now just buy the replacements in bulk.
