    Auto Sign-out???

I know a couple others posted about it early on after "the switch".....but why does the site log you out if you sit idle after so long? The old site never did this. There are days that Im back and forth between the PC and doing other things just watching whats going on with a group ride, get together, etc. Is it just something with this "new" set-up? Or is there something in the settings on an Admins end that can turn this off? Or is there something in the settings on my end that Im just not seeing?

I do not auto-logout. I stayed logged in until I log out.

Mine does the same thing and I am kind of on the fence of liking it or not. It comes in handy when I just have a couple minutes and want to lurk at work but if I am logged on and catching up with a lot of threads and taking my time I have tried to respond to threads a couple of times and had to re log in.

Mine dosent log out either....... Mor, try keeping it on the "Who's Online" in the quicklinks. That keeps everything fresh if you are on and off the site.......

It's related to your browser settings and whether you check the button to keep you logged in. I haven't had to relogin on 3 different pc's in a really long time.

Are you clearing cookies on the computer? I have three computers I use, and I am autologged in to three of them, never have to log out.

Not sure, but what It sounds like from where I sit.Is he is being timed out for inactivy(sp) Doesn't really have anything to do with loggin in.However having your Comp is set to log in auto it will take careof this issue.
One of the other sites I visit has it set pretty fast.If I check out a link when I get back to the site after reading the linked item I have log in again.BAnking site will do this also.

On a side note, maybe if you refresh(F5) the page before trying to use it after you been away it may take care of the sign in.

Interesting thoughts/ideas.....BUT, Im still running Firefox, havent made any changes to any settings since "the old" site and I have the box checked to "remember me". No clue what Cozye is talking about on checking a box to keep you logged in......non-existent on my end. If Im away for so long, I always click the banner when I come back to update everything and thats how I know Im not logged in anymore (goes from blue lettering to the yellow). So you got me on why its doing it. Only thing that changed was the site.
