Since I went down last year I have never rode in any thing less then boots, jacket and a helmet. Last night I had dinner plans with a few friends at Marks BBQ. I havent rode the bike in two weeks and thought why not, but with the heat do I want to gear up or not?
I opted for a t shirt, tennis shoes and a helmet. On the way I rode through the park and Grinstead. The bike didnt feel right at all. Shifting was different, I found my self grabbing the bars hard and so on.
I have became so accustomed to the safe feeling from being protected that not having gear on affected me. Its amazing what gear does for a person. I know a few on here that don't ride even to bike night with out it. I just wanted to share this and say THANK YOU for every thing I've learned about riding. I have meet some great people from this site and continue to learn more every time I ride with them. Nothing bad happened but it shows what being ready for the ride really is. Heat or no heat I wont ride with out it again
