The VFR will behave herself very well by laying off the throttle up the hill and giving it to her after - these are heavy bikes and it takes some effort to get air - Do like Railing says: grab hard with your knees and put your behind firmly back in the seat. Down shift to slow down just before the crown if you don't want air - nothing wrong with caution here. The brake link system works mostly from the front brake, not so sure if you just used the rear it would engage the front - I've only used both in emergency stops and usually just the front to get the right entry speed for me. (slower in - accelerate out)
Anyway, I am always afraid of not being able to predict what is over the crown of the hill so I have always done it this way and haven't gone airborne - but I might drive the faster people behind me nuts which is why I hang back... You can always catch up to people in the straights or when they get stuck behind a tractor![]()
