    KZ base gasket sealers

I need some old school advice. I'm re-gasketing the top end of a '78 KZ650 due to the base gasket leaking. The o-rings were not split. I think oil just made its way under the base gasket which was installed dry when this motor was rebuilt several years ago. What sealant would you guys recommend or what have you used before?

I wouldn't use anything more than a light spray of something like gasket tack...

I agree that Larry knows what is best. That said I have seen yamabond used for that before.

Ok, thanks guys. I'm going to use sealers this time. The Haynes manual didn't call out their use, but since these are aftermarket gaskets I guess some glue is needed. OEM gaskets are really expensive....140.00 for the head and 110.00 or so for the base. I've got everything prepped and ready to go back together, just waiting on UPS to deliver some o-rings.
