Best way to transport a scooter

I've got a 150cc scooter than I need to get to the shop. It is about 200+ lbs and I can lift it into a truck, but I'd rather tow it on a trailer or something similar to that. I know U-haul rents motorcycle trailers + hitches, but not sure if it will work for a scooter.

Anyone have any ideas/recommendations? I'm probably going to haul it in the morning around noon.

    TIA,

I'm not very familiar with scooters...you may have trouble getting the front wheel to fit in a standard wheel chock.

Wheel chock or not, all you need are some good ratchet straps. Put the bike up on the center stand & ratchet the front & back of the bike to the four hooks of the truck bed. It's light enough that it won't move. Where do you live?

I live in Jtown and a truck bed is probably the easiest way to go (with the scooter on it's center stand). I've got some ratchet straps and will use them.

Thanks again for the great recommendation!

When you have it on the center stand in the truck, make sure that you strap it down good enough to where the center stand doesn't have any play in it. If it slips, the straps will become too loose, and it will fall over.
