I found the AMA pages for Laws in Indiana and Kentucky, basic summation of the law.
For example, Kentucky doesn't require a headlight on while riding, Indiana does. So track bikes with no headlights are legal to ride in Kentucky on the roads. But if you run a modified exhaust (something you changed different than the manufacturer made), then you can't run it in Kentucky.
