My connection is still hit or miss in terms of speed. They have a monitor on my line and I am calling again tonight to complain about it, so it's the third visit in 30 days, and then it gets escalated and hopefully something done.

This is the 3rd of 4th time you've said that. As far as Insight is concerned, you're now That Guy.

I think I would have already escalated the situation IMO. Odviously its an issue they need to work on in your area if they want to keep customers

What Railing is saying that Insight has a policy if a problem occurs and a technician is called out there 3 times within 30 days, the problem is considered a high priority and it is dealt with people higher up. Which means they may actually fix problem.

Exactly. At this point I get a technician out that says, "your signal levels are within range, it's your equipment". Then they connect their laptop to my connection directly with no splits in the line and they get slow speeds, and they say "huh, guess there is something wrong."

They have people using the bandwidth in the area, simple as that, and they need to fix it on the node.
