I ordered my undertail from cheapcycleparts.com and it was supposedly in stock when I ordered.......then I get an e-mail after the order is processed saying its backordered for 3 weeks.

Well, here I am almost a month later and they still don't have it.

Would cancel the order, but I couldn't find the same one elsewhere.

    ps....dont buy from them.

I bought a Tasty Nuts bolt kit for the R6 from 58 cycle. Had no trouble and shipping was pretty quick.

Sucks to hear you had trouble.

I'd never buy ANYTHING with "Tasty Nuts" in its title

backorder stuff happens all the time, you can't blame the company really. Distributors don't always share the same level of customer service that the front line retail guys do. The retail guy has to play middle man between a customer who he wants to offer good service too, and a distributor who is busy and doesn't have time to answer the retailers questions all the time about availability. Unfortunately the retailer has to keep pestering the distributor in order to get good information to pass on to the customer. I play this role all the time. The difference between a good retailer and a bad retailer is that the good retailer will keep the customer informed and do his best to set realistic expectations, and the bad retailer will not communicate and blow the customer off. Backorders and delays are unavoidable, but I always try to make sure my customers know exactly what the situation is and what to expect. I then try to keep in touch with them throughout the process so that they don't feel like they are being forgotten about.
