    The Harley Guy
A Harley biker is riding by the zoo in Washington, DC when he sees a little girl leaning into the lion's cage. Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the cuff of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents.

The biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch. Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings her to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly.

A reporter has watched the whole event. The reporter addressing the Harley rider says, 'Sir, this was the most gallant and brave thing I've seen a man do in my whole life.'

The Harley rider replies, 'Why, it was nothing really, the lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger and acted as I felt right.'

The reporter says, 'Well, I'll make sure this won't go unnoticed. I'm a journalist, you know, and tomorrow's paper will have this story on the front page... So, what do you do for a living and what's your political affiliation ?'

The biker replies, 'I'm a U.S. Marine and a Republican."

The reporter jots down the information.

The next morning the biker buys the paper to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads, on the front page:

U.S. MARINE ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT AND STEALS HIS LUNCH

That pretty much sums up the media's approach to the news these days.

You never know, it could be serious. I'm sure if he were riding a sportbike it would include something about a highspeed chase and causing a fatal accident too. Just saying, reporters make bad news out of everything.

yup. The only thing I disagree with is when you said "these days". I imagine it's always been like that.

oh wait, Fox News is the only biased news organization.

agreed. there's little, if any, fact-based journalism. propaganda wins every time, cuz sensationalism sells.

Fox news and CNN both have little to do with fact. If you want the truth watch BBC news. The Brits tell it like it is and don't sugar coat a damn thing.

I'm telling you, the Brits know how to report fact-based news without opinion or political correctness getting in the way.

Just like my boys that supposedly killed an innocent Iraqi family according to CNN.

What really happened: They took fire from the house next door to the one they were raiding. They fired back. When the smoke cleared they went in and found the two gunmen down along with their wives and an injured 4 year old girl. The AK rounds in everyone proved that the soldiers didn't kill anyone, they pulled a murder/suicide of the whole family but thanks to our medic the little girl lived.

    That's how BBC reported it.

The only real reporters are Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh.
