    Bridgestone BT-003 RS Review

After almost 500 miles on these tires yesterday I think I can give my honest opinion on them.

    Wear:

I don't have but roughly 600 miles on this set but I don't see any abnormal tire wear and the dual compound rear should help the tire from getting the usual "flat-spot" from commuting. I expect to get somewhere around 2500-3000 miles out of the rear.

    Profile:

I can tell the profile isn't much different then that of the BT-002 RS that they are replacing. To me they feel as though they do turn in a slightly faster then the 002's, much similar to the 003 DOT's I ran on the track. Overall it's a very neutral profile when going to full lean.

    Traction:

This area of the 003's I can tell a difference in them from the 002's; these take more heat to become sticky. That being said, warm up takes a bit longer then the 002's. After a few miles though I had zero issues with traction on these tires, no pushing of the front or spinning of the rear. I think Bridgestone designed these tires more for the occasional track day crowd is why they take more heat to get sticky.

    Overall:

This is my person reflection on these tires and my results will vary from others so take it with a grain of salt. I'm happy with these tires just as I was with the 002's so I plan to run them for a while.

Drink plenty of water before running.

    i don't get it

you push tires WAAAAAAY harder than i do, and i feel like these things slide all over the place on me. on melaina's ride, my rear tire was stepping out anytime i hit a tar strip or got on it coming out of a corner. and i wasn't rocking it when it did. further down the road, it was down to me, spoolin, josh, and larryG, and i finally got used to how much they moved around. i agree with you, they definitely need a lot of heat to start hooking up.

Dunno, Maybe because I have a cross plane engine that helps with traction. BUT, I was ridding with Dennis and his is on the 003's and he wasn't haven't any issues either.

I'm going with the trip oh threes on the track bike. We'll see next weekend if they can make me any faster.
