I couldnt watch the whole thing, dude wouldnt shut up and just do it. I can appreciate the DIY stuff, but I will just stick to using my friends for their No-Mar tire changer FTW

I skipped when he started about the tire direction only being for getting rainwater out from under the tire...

Pretty sure tires todays tires are built to handle stess from the direction they go in.Cords are wrapped a certain way to handle braking on the front and gas on the rear.

Kinda like putting a car tire on the rear of a bike sure it work but why bother?

If you have a gold wing or other tire sheading cruiser please ingore that last bit...there are exeptions.

Actually, I know that race DOT tires can be run in either direction, but the tread pattern is used to move the water out of the way. I was told by two different tire reps to "flip" my tires at the track to even out the wear if in the dry, I have, and haven't noticed any issues in them.

Still, he took a LONG time to explain how to put a tire on with hand tools.

And I agree with Krash, I will stick to my No-Mar...

Last year I accidentally put the front tire on the track bike on backwards. Not good for the brake rotors/pads, but I ran two sessions before BlueR6 noticed, and I was still running the same times in each session. Those were on Pilot Power 2CTs...

Really I would say that you could run it either direction, but I still choose to run them the correct direction.

    Cool,I'l file it away.

Iv'e run a rear tire on the front of a bike before(cb1000c)It had a huge front tire.Needed it to go to work on till the replacement showed (just 2 days) but I did have to go to work.
It fit ,it worked ,but I would not recomend it just becauese it felt wrong...in my head.
