    Track Day Packing List

If a Moderator feels so inclined, this might be a good sticky for the Track Day Forum....

Went and dug up my old list from a previous thread. This is a rough list that I will refine over time, and just suggestions on what to take, and something you can check over so you don't forget something that you have...

    =================================================

Take as many spare parts that you have, you never know when you are going to bend a brake lever or other parts.

If you have any spare gear, like gloves, visors, etc, take them. If you have a small get off you might damage something and it's nice to have spares to protect yourself.

Here are some things on my list to take to the track, most of which are always in my tool box/bag. Yes I am an Eagle Scout, but ask the others, my crap comes in handy...
    • RTV Silicone
    • Chain Lube/WD-40
    • Contact Cleaner/Spray Cleaner
    • Honda Polish/Glass Cleaner
    • Paper Towels/Shop Rags
    • Front and Rear Stand
    • Full metric wrench set
    • Full metric socket set (with big enough sockets for the wheel nuts and steering nut)
    • Full metric allen wrench set
    • Custom tools for wheels, security bolts, etc
    • Safety Wire/Safety Wire Tool
    • Electrical Tape
    • Butt Connectors
    • Crimper/Wire Stripper
    • Hammer (rubber and hard)
    • Screw Drivers (0, 1, 2 Phillips, straight)
    • Power Inverter
    • Air Compressor/air tank
    • Air Chuck (this is for Blue R6)
    • Air Pressure Gauge
    • Spare bolts, nuts, screws, spacers
    • Zip Ties
    • Drill/Drill Bits
    • Flush Cut Snips
    • Pliers (Needle Nose and Linemen pliers)
    • Extra Dzus bolts and connectors
    • Tie Downs and Canyon Dancer
    • 5 Gallons of Fuell and a full tank in the bike (5 gallons a day is usually enough)
    • Spare bike key
    • Extra oil, coolant, brake fluid
    • Might Vac
    • Tape Measure
    • Track paper work (Registration, directions, hotel confirmations)
    • Money and Credit Cards, possibly a blank check (might need to buy tires or spare parts to get the bike back on the track, might need to buy food too) - Take money, at least $10 per person. Some tracks have entry fees up to $35...
    • Ear Plugs
    • Spare Clothes, warm clothes (some morning get chilly)
    • Spare Contacts (I had one blow out of my eye during one of the sessions)
    • Eye Glasses
    • Back Protector
    • Chest Protector
    • Leathers
    • Gloves
    • Boots
    • Helmet
    • Duct Tape
    • Blue Painters Tape
    • Cooler with Ice and LOTS of water, gatorade, snacks
    • Spare Zip lock bags
    • Sun Screen
    • Razor Blade/Razor Knife
    • Health Insurance Information (Put this some place where others know where to find it)
    • Spare Truck Keys - Give a set to someone else that's going with you
    • Camera (batteries/Memory Cards/Film)
    • Camcorder (batteries/tape/memory cards)
    • Extra batteries - AA, 9-volt
    • Power Inverter
    • Hacksaw
    • Vise Grips
    • Lap Timer
    • Spare bolts various sizes.
    • Tap and Die set. Make your own bolt holes, resize a hole
    • BFH - Big Fucking Hammer. Never know when you need to bend something straight...
    • EZ-UP/Sun protection
    • Chairs
    • Table
    • Spare tires for bike, car, trailer and a jack for those tires
    • No-Mar Tire Changer (yeah I take mine), tools for changing tire.
    • Under Armour/PscyleSkins
Anyway, you don't have to take all of this, but this is a list of items that I have either needed, or taken... This is not a complete list, but as much as what I can think of...
