I rode about 1100 miles for my “Saddle Sore 1000” certificate. Me and a friend rode from just east of Atlanta to just past New Orleans for lunch, and then came back. It was winter, so cold. I rode a VMax. No wind protection and stopping for gas...

SR 261 out of Mexican Hat, Utah is stunning. You get to go up (or down) the Moki Dugway. It's a crazy, weird, super cool way up to a steppe. It is otherworldly. Plus you can peel off to Moab or Glen Canyon. Except for Mormons Utah is a great state.

Before April, 437 miles, after April... 94 miles (commuting). The hottest, sexiest, best riding partner I've ever been around swallowed a watermelon seed and had to wait 9 months for it to come out.

If you can swing it, Yosemite will absolutely take your breath away. If you are short on time I would skip driving through the valley and take the road to Glacier Point first thing in the morning to beat the crowd. Then on the way out stop to take...

I think the most I have ridden in one day is just under 500 miles. That was all mountain road and ridden aggressively for the most part. I was pretty tired at the end of the day. I could easily do more in a day if I were to ride at a more relaxed...

Best I've done is just shy of 900 miles in a day, that was backroads from Myrtle Beach, SC to home with a break at the Gap to meet up with a few guys that were riding down there. That ride took me about 17 hours, and even though it was dark by the...

I’ve never considered it. A person would have to ride several hundred miles interstate to complete the task and I do not like interstate. It always takes longer to ride/ drive the crooked (back) roads. I have ridden to the gap and back a few...

Anyone ever complete any of the I.B.A. rides? I read a long time ago in a magazine that riding 1000 miles in a day should be on any riders bucket list. That has always been a goal I had on the back burner for a day when I had something comfortable...

I will probably be reserving a cabin in Townsend this week. I have heard in previous years that where all the cool peeps hang out. I will trailer my FZ1 and Z125 down most likely. The plan right now is for the wifey and mother in law to go as well.

Less than 1000... I think I only rode the R1 on one gap trip and one track day. It's sad, I've had the bike for 2.5 years and it only has 4000 miles on it. Things will change this year with the new bike, more practical so I will do some commuting...
